Blessing Colours To life

An interview with an experienced beautician Aliya Tipu

You! How long have you been working as a stylist/beautician?
Aliya tipu: It's been a long time.....I've been working for the last 25 years!

You! You have worked with all the top celebs of Pakistan. Describe the process of working with celebs to create their amazing looks?
A.T: It's always a mutual understanding between the divas and stylist. What's important is the fact that you must know their personality. it's not difficult to create their looks if you are on the same wavelength with them and understand their requirements.
you! What products do you like to use on your celebrity clients?
A.T: I use the best product for each and every client......be it a celebrity or any other regular client.... they're all just as important to me. the brands include MAC. Makeup forever, Dermalogica, L'Oreal and a few more.

You! what are the most common make-up mistakes you think of?
A.T: The make-up is often very loud and the concept of blending is not there. And the fact that people don't use make-up according to their personality and skin type is a big mistake. Another thing our girls are clueless about is the difference between day and night make-ups.

You! What is it in a women that makes you cringe ( make- up wise)?
A.T: Uneven eye liners, funny shades of lipsticks and blushers,  thick outlines of lipsticks, Patchy base, etc
You! Foundation everyday or when needed and as little as possible?
A.T: It actually depends on your skin type ........ basically you just need foundation to cover up your decolouration. However, some women have clear and glowing skin so it's not required at all.
You! Basic makeup tools every girl should have in her bag?
A.T: I believe that every girl should have compact powder, liner, mascara, kajal, lipstick and a blusher.

You! your personal must have list?
A.T: My Bobbi brown hydrating cream. MAC lipstick, Blusher and mascara.
